MPEG-2 Encoder SDT/NIT inserting and output aspect ratio setting (16:9; 4:3, WSS Auto)
(in case of CW-4887, CW-4888, CW-4987 and CW-4988 devices)
MPEG-2 Encoders what has been sold after 1st of October in 2014 contain a NIT/SDT inserter and aspect ratio adjuster board.The settings can be done by jumpers.
Before changing the jumpers on the device, the device needs to be turned off.
The CW-4887 and CW-4987 Duo versions contain one piece of extension board while the CW-4888 and CW-4988 Quad versions contain two pieces of extension board. There are 8 jumpers on the board with the following settings:
Encoder1/3
JP1: manual/auto (On/Off) -> manual means that JP2 sets the output aspect ratio, auto mode means that the WSS signal in the input video sets the output aspect ratio
JP2: 4:3/16:9 (On/Off) -> in case of JP1 closed JP2 sets the output aspect ratio
JP3: NIT&SDT Inserter Off / NIT&SDT Inserter On (On/Off) -> JP3 sets the preconfigured NIT and SDT data inserting
JP4: -

JP5: manual/auto (On/Off)
JP6: 4:3/16:9 (On/Off)
JP7: NIT&SDT Inserter Off /NIT&SDT Inserter On (On/Off)
JP8: in case of Quad version device JP8 is closed and the jumpers set Encoder3 and Encoder4 settings
